And it happened...

When strangers meet
greet each other over meat
and beer, vodka-coke, paneer
tikka neat, there’s good cheer.
There's retreat, sweet deceit
search for feet, heat, seat and wheat.
Coffee to end, brownie to blend
vows to attend, befriend, pretend, defend.
Follow the trend to spend
intend, extend, transcend.

Ignore some of the words above. They are just there for rhyme-like purposes. And a (very, very) bad poem is just an easy way out of writing a long post-party post. We had a good time! I think this blog meet has to count among the best that I have attended. When you have songs sung (ranging from Janis Joplin to Farida Khanum) in the midst of a full room; with other sundry people and the management looking askance at a raucous group of beer guzzling and non-eating people, it has to be counted as different. People who turned up for the meet (in order of appearance) are:

Blow and I together (we had hostly responsibilities)
Scout (the guest of honour)
Masijeevi
Varun
Shivam
Prasoonk
Aruni
Dhiraj
Tejaswi
~

PS: It was wonderful meeting you guys. We should do this more often. :)

And since Varun mentions this in his comment--the mystery of the elusive butter chicken--here is what happened:
As soon as Blow and I arrived, we conducted a frantic search for aforementioned butter chicken on the menu, but never found it. We also told everybody: Hey, forget about butter chicken! Finally (i.e., after we'd eaten), a waiter was asked if butter chicken was served at Café 100. He said, yes and pointed to the *cough* murgh makhani. We were called angrez for this misdemeanour. :(

Hey you did not say anything about the important guest who didn't turn up: butter chicken!

Really, it was really a great experience...As River puts it, it was perhaps the 'best bloggers' meet' she had ever atteded. and in that case, i was lucky-that was the first bloggers' meet that i ever attended.
